Teetered very close to the cloying small town preciousness that I just don't like in contemporaries, but it had a better romance after getting past all the silliness. I just wish these small town contemporary heroines didn't have so many tics - and all the same ones! Why are they all so adorably clumsy? Ugh. The tee shirt sayings and the chick lit style longings for potato chips and milkshakes? Oy. It could have been far more compelling - she had enough going on in her life to draw a reader in to her story. But the chemistry was nice, and the hero was of course great though a bit too good to be true.
