A pleasant surprise - I didn't love it, but I thought it was adorable. I had heard rumblings about this one, and I was nearly done after a rocky first chapter with endless rehash of poor Alexia's unfashionable golden skin, bountiful bosom, wild hair, and lusty appetites. BUT - it got super cute and witty soon after - it reads like a really fun episode of a very tongue-in-cheek TV show (OMG - can you imagine what Joss Whedon would do with this?? I die.) Love all the crazy characters (and their outfits), and I thought the transition from courtship to marriage was right on. And the cliffhanger was a-mazing - though it was broadcast quite quickly from the get go. In fact, all the 'mysteries' are very easy to figure out, but eh, it's too stylishly written for me to care all that much.
